Tea2Go TeaN’ergy will make its debut in McKinney this fall. Permits have been submitted, and co-owner Julian Gasnarez hopes to start building out the storefront soon. The future Tea2Go TeaN’ergy at 1550 S. Custer Rd., Ste. 700 in McKinney will be in a space that previously housed a Comet Cleaners.

Tea2Go TeaN’ergy will feature a drive-thru and walk-in access. They need to add equipment and will update the water system to use Reverse Osmosis water to brew teas, energy teas, and loose-leaf teas. Gasnarez hopes to open by the end of October.

“We’re excited. We’ve definitely been blown away by the welcome we’ve received in the community,” he said. Ashton Commercial Construction is working on the space, and Gasnarez’s broker was Chris Dotson with Quine and Associates.

The franchise is based out of West Texas, specifically Lubbock. Gasnarez co-owns the McKinney Tea2Go TeaN’ergy with his wife, JoVanna Gasnarez. She’s a labor and delivery nurse, and discovered Tea2Go TeaN’ergy while working as a travel nurse in Abilene. “That’s where I first fell in love with Tea2Go TeaN’ergy. I would pick up teas for all of the nurses at work. Our hometown was Midland, and so I would take my husband there,” she said. “It’s just a good product, and we love the concept of it.”

Tea2Go TeaN’ergy offers a variety of brewed teas. “We have a tea bar with about 20 different flavors from your peach teas to raspberry teas—what you think of, we’ve got it. We specialize in our energy teas,” he said. “Not only are they appealing to the eye, but they’re very flavorful, and they’re low in calories. You get a boost of energy.”

The couple is excited to bring the first Tea2Go TeaN’ergy to McKinney. “We scouted the area. We knew this is where we wanted our first store to be. We love the city and then the goal is obviously to expand and bring many more to the North Dallas area,” he said.
