The original Takara Japanese Restaurant sits at 3088 Basswood Blvd., Ste. 200 in Fort Worth. The Takara website states the new location is “coming soon,” and according to a Community Impact article, the new Fort Worth spot could open in late May.

The menu at Takara, which is Japanese for “treasure,” features fresh, handmade Maki rolls and handrolls. Fried rolls include California rolls, vegetable rolls, and the Chy Chy roll that features spicy tuna, avocado with eel sauce and spicy mayo drizzled on top. Other menu items include nigiri and sashimi, signature rolls, poke bowls, and ramen noodles.

Diners can enjoy hibachi entrees of scallops, chicken, filet mignon, lobster, tofu, vegetables, and more. A variety of Bento boxes are offered with several proteins options and rice, plus they’re served with chicken dumplings and edamame. Whatever diners choose from the extensive menu will be authentic and traditional Japanese dishes made with fresh ingredients.
