Uchiko, which means “child of Uchi,” first opened in Austin in 2010 and has a second location in Houston. Other locations are planned for Denver and Miami Beach.

The menu includes a variety of fresh sushi and sashimi, as well as caviar. Vegetarian dishes and daily happy hour specials are also available. Uchiko features a “Japanese farmhouse aesthetic with crafted materials and warm finishes,” according to the Hai Hospitality website.

The address for the new Uchiko will be 700 Windrose Ave., Ste. H150, Plano, TX 75254. According to a recent project filing, Uchiko could open in Plano in late summer of 2023.
