Shake Shack is opening its second location in Plano. The 3,252-square-foot restaurant will be located at 5009 W Park Blvd.
An official opening date has not yet been announced, but is expected to be sometime early next year. According to a project filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, construction is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
There is currently one other Shake Shack location in Plano at 7401 Windrose Ave in Legacy West. The brand also has locations in Addison, Dallas, Fort Worth, Irving, Southlake and The Woodlands, as well as San Antonio, Austin, and Houston.
Shake Shack started as a hot dog cart in Madison Square Park in New York City in 2001. The company has seen steady growth ever since, going public in 2015, and expanding to approximately 320 locations in 30 U.S. States and more than 107 international locations including London, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore, Philippines, Mexico, Istanbul, Dubai, Tokyo, Seoul and more.
Now branded as a modern day “roadside” burger stand, the chain serves a classic American menu of premium burgers, chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, crinkle cut fries, shakes, frozen custard, and beer and wine.
