The Dallas location has been inoperable since October 2019 when a tornado swept through the area and damaged the Preston Oaks shopping center that it was housed in. Several other restaurants were also impacted by the storm, but, unfortunately, not all of them are reopening.

After over two years of rebuilding, construction is finally nearing an end and Fish City Grill is prepping to reopen the much missed seafood joint to neighborhood regulars.

“One of the things this terrible storm forced us to face was what we all mean to each other – our customers, our team members, our neighborhood,” said Bill Bayne, co-founder and CEO of Fish City Grill. “We’ve been part of the landscape in the Preston-Royal area since 2003 and we want to continue to be an important part of the neighborhood for decades going forward.”

The new space will be larger to accommodate more guests and will also include a small patio.

Several old team members will be returning. General Manager Cole Brizedine will be new, but he’s no stranger to Fish City Grill. He most recently managed the Lake Highlands location.

“We’re committed to coming back strong and serving our customers, hoping to be the same neighborhood favorite we’ve always been,” Bayne said. “We look forward to welcoming back our regular customers to this familiar space.”

Founded by Bill and Lovett Bayne, the neighborhood joint serves fresh seafood, oysters on the half shell, seasonal coastal favorites, and refreshing cocktails in a relaxed environment.

Fish City Grill has several locations across the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex, as well as in Austin, Houston and San Antonio. The brand has also expanded to Arkansas Florida, and Oklahoma.
