Located at 10720 Preston Rd, the fast casual sandwich market will occupy a space of 3,128 square feet in suite 1002. It will join the upscale neighborhood with such good company as Fish City Grill, DL Mack’s, and Central Market. An exact opening date has not yet been announced, but it is expected to open late 2022.

But before then, Mendocino Farms will launch two other locations within the Dallas area. On Tuesday, June 28, the first of the two will open in Plano’s Legacy West development at 7700 Windrose Ave. The second is also set for a summer 2022 opening and will come to 3700 McKinney Ave, suite 110 in Dallas’s West Village.

Mendocino Farms currently has two locations open in the Dallas area – 2000 Ross Ave, Downtown, which opened in March 2020; and 5294 Belt Line Rd, Addison, which opened in March 2021.

The brand also has locations in Houston.

The Lone Star State is Mendocino Farms’s first market outside of its home state of California in which it has multiple locations throughout Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego and the Northern part of the state. It is branching into Georgia later this year with a location planned for Buckhead, Atlanta.

Founded by husband-and-wife team Mario Del Pero and Ellen Chen, Mendocino Farms takes guests on a culinary adventure with a diverse menu of chef-driven, seasonal sandwiches, salads and more made from fresh, high-quality ingredients. The brand has something for everyone, offering vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options.

Sandwiches include Chimichurri Steak and Bacon, Mendo’s Original Pork Belly Banh Mi, Chicken Pesto Caprese and the “Not So Fried” Chicken, a shaved, roasted chicken breast with herb aioli and mustard pickle slaw on toasted ciabatta. Salad versions of several of these sandwiches are offered, along with original creations like the Avocado and Quinoa Superfood and Sophisticated Chicken and Prosciutto Salad.

Bowls, seasonal soups, and sides such as couscous, potato salad, and pasta are also on the menu. “We’re committed to continuously evolving and adding to our menu so that we’re always wowing our guests with new, unexpected, flavor combinations,” the brand says.
