It looks like Pei Wei Asian Kitchen will open a location in Grand Prairie in coming months. Pei Wei Asian Kitchen is the second largest Chinese fast-casual restaurant chain in the U.S. with about 200 locations. Pei Wei has about two dozen locations across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, but this appears to be the first for Grand Prairie.

The newest spot will open at 2810 South State Highway 161 in Grand Prairie, according to a recent project filing. Construction is expected to wrap up sometime in the spring of 2024, so area diners will have to a wait a while before they can enjoy the menu at the Grand Prairie spot.

From Orange Chicken and Chicken Pad Thai to Mongolian Steak and Kung Pao Shrimp, the Pei Wei menu is extensive. Other entrees include beef and broccoli, Firecracker Tofu, or Grilled Bourbon Chicken, as well as a variety of rice and noodle options.

Guests can also enjoy an Asian Chopped Salad, Pei Wei’s signature Chicken Lettuce Wraps, edamame, chicken dumplings, and crab wontons. For the younger diners, Kids Wei offers Chicken Lo Mein, Honey-Seared Chicken, and other options. Dessert options include fudge brownies and Thai donuts.
