The location is a part of Webb Royal Plaza, a shopping mall within the Webster Grove neighborhood that includes such major retailers as Family Dollar and Super Mercado La Providencia. It is just a 15 minute drive from Dallas Love Field Airport and less than 30 minutes from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.

According to lease intel, the restaurant will occupy suite 11 – a 3,380-square foot space.

Hoots Wings, a franchise spun off of Hooters, is a smaller, fast-casual alternative to the popular chicken wings and sports bar. It currently has locations in Georgia, Illinois, and Florida with plans in the works for more restaurants to open soon in other states.

Hoots has been on quite the expansion streak this year, announcing several multi-unit deals for both the West and East Coast Markets, as well as the Lone Star State.

In March, the brand signed a 60-unit deal with newly formed AE Restaurant Group that will bring 60 Hoots Wings locations to the greater Dallas-Fort Worth and Austin areas over the next six years. AE is owned by Dallas-based husband-wife duo, Cary and Jackie Albert, who have decades of quick-service restaurant experience. They previously ran eight Dairy Queens and currently also manage 30 Schlotzsky’s restaurants.

The Alberts are eager to bring Hoots to the DFW area with plans to have a total of six locations open by the end of the year. In June, the first ever Texas location of Hoots Wings opened in Little Elm at 26742 E University Dr. A Fort Worth location opened shortly after. Along with the forthcoming Dallas location, a Bedford restaurant is also set to open its doors sometime in November.

“Hoots Wings is an attractive franchise option to Cary and I because we get to be on the ground floor of an emerging concept on the fast-track for growth, while benefiting from all the perks of having a national brand backing us,” Jackie Albert told Restaurant News in February. “The more we dug into Hoots Wings’ food and finances, the more appealing it was. The smaller prototype means we can build out fast and furious, and we are eager to start bringing the best-you’ve-ever-had breaded bone-in, naked bone-in, boneless, smoked and roasted wings to Texas.”

While the Alberts and their group are responsible for the Hoots Wings franchises that have recently opened and are set to open soon, the brand has no plans of stopping with them. According to a company press release, the brand is looking to take over the state of Texas by signing an additional 80+ units in key markets including Houston, San Antonio, El Paso, and throughout Rio Grande Valley.

“We are looking for more strong operators like the Alberts to grow the Hoots Wings brand throughout Texas beyond Austin and Dallas-Fort Worth,” said Sal Melilli, CEO of HOA Brands, which operates both Hooters and Hoots Wings. “Texans have been very loyal to Hooters’ food over the years, and the state houses some of our most successful restaurants. We’ve been hearing from our customers that they’re clamoring for more wing options, making Texas an ideal option for initial growth.”

Needless to say, Texans do love them some wings. So, the Hoots expansion is spot on.

On the menu, guests can choose from a variety of styles – breaded, naked, smoked, roasted, and boneless; and flavors – BBQ, buffalo, chipotle honey, spicy garlic, and parmesan garlic. Chicken tenders, chicken sandwiches, shrimp, snow crab legs, and salad are also offered.
