Texas’ No. 1 Burrito is coming to the Arts District of Downtown Dallas this winter.
Opening at 2000 Ross Ave. in suite 190, an exact date for the new Freebirds restaurant has not been announced, but it is expected to open early next year.
The Downtown Dallas Freebirds will be located below the JW Marriott Arts District hotel, which also opens in 2022, and across from Trammell Crow Center.
For the new restaurant, Freebirds is looking to hire more than 30 new employees or “Tribe members” with an open hiring event being hosted on November 11th.
A spokesperson for the brand shared Freebirds is planning to double its total number of locations over the next five years, if not faster. The main areas of expansion will be across Austin, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio, though the growth will see locations open across the state. The brand has already announced new restaurant openings in the pipeline in Kingwood, Spring, Katy and Dripping Springs. With its current growth rate, Freebirds will solidify its position as Texas’ second largest burrito chain.
An exact number of locations for Dallas has not been determined, but the brand sees significant growth opportunities in the city.
“With an updated tech stack in the works, companywide interior design refresh and incredible Tribe members and Fanatics, Freebirds is taking flight across Texas,” CEO Alex Eagle said in a statement. “We’re on our way to becoming the biggest burrito chain in the state. We’re looking at a solid 20% growth year-over-year.”
The Downtown Dallas Freebirds will offer dine-in, take out, online and mobile ordering and catering. Delivery will be available through third-party delivery services and catering.
