Culture Map Dallas reports that the shop is set to open by early 2022, according to a spokesperson.
The brand opened its first Texas locations earlier this year with scoop shops at Rice Village and Uptown Park in Houston. A third at Montrose is currently planned to open there. Van Leeuwen also has locations in its home state of New York, as well as in California, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey.
Founded as a food truck in 2008 by brothers Ben and Pete Van Leeuwen and Laura O’Neill, the brand has since grown a dedicated following, opened multiple brick-and-mortar shops, and made their pints available in grocery stores nationwide.
Their mouthwatering flavors include Brown Sugar Cookie Dough Chunk, Earl Grey Tea, Marionberry Cheesecake, Praline Butter Cake, and over 40 more. Limited edition and seasonal flavors, such as Peppermint Stick, Pumpkin Cheesecake, and Kraft Macaroni and Cheese, are unique as they are delicious. Vegan ice cream made with oat milk or cashew milk is also offered.
Van Leeuwen shops serve a full menu of vegan and dairy ice creams, vegan chocolate chip cookies, sundaes and milkshakes.
