According to the website, “Velvet Taco is a temple to the liberated taco.” Built on the idea that tacos don’t have to stay within the confines of Tex-Mex, Velvet Taco offers “a menu that explores the edge of multi-cultural boundaries, liberating tacos to a whole new level.”
The proof of this approach is on the menu. Popular options include the Buffalo Chicken taco which combines crisp tenders, house buffalo sauce, carrots, bleat cheese, and ranch crema on a flour tortilla. Or, the Spicy Tikka Chicken which features spicy tikka sauce, buttered cilantro basmati rice, raita crema and Thai basil.
Velvet Taco also caters to vegetarian taco-lovers, with options like Mediterranean Mushroom, Fried Paneer, or Nashville Hot Tofu.
