Torchy’s Tacos offers diners a variety of fun and flavorful creations including the brand’s “Damn Good Tacos.” It appears that a new location for Torchy’s Tacos will open in McKinney sometime next year.
According to a recent project filing, the newest location will open in McKinney at 4040 W University Dr., Ste. 300. Construction could kick off on the 4,000-square-foot space in coming months and wrap up in early 2024.
Diners at Torchy’s Tacos can enjoy a variety of tacos for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Some of Torchy’s “Damn Good Tacos” include the Trailer Park with fried chicken and all the fixings, the Green Chile Pork, and the Baja Shrimp. The Mofaux is a vegetarian option featuring Cowboy-Style Beyond Beef, grilled corn, avocado, cilantro, and Diablo sauce on a corn tortilla. Queso, salads, quesadillas, margaritas, and more are also on the menu.
Mike Rypka founded Torchy’s Tacos as a food truck in Austin back in 2006. The brand now has nearly 80 storefronts across Texas with others coming soon, and more spots across a dozen other states.
