Mountain Mike’s Pizza is tentatively set to open in Fort Worth later this year. The family-friendly pizza concept that hails from California will open at 6932 Blue Mound Rd. in Fort Worth.
According to a recent project filing, the nearly 2,600-square-foot space will undergo renovations for the new Mountain Mike’s Pizza. “We’re shooting for maybe first week of December, late November,” said Ramein Gerami, Mountain Mike’s Pizza franchisee, about the restaurant’s possible opening.
Ramein told What Now Dallas the location will be his first for Mountain Mike’s Pizza, but he is no stranger to the restaurant industry. He owns two Jersey Mike’s Subs locations in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex—one in Denton and one in Frisco.
At Mountain Mike’s Pizza, guests can sit and enjoy their pizzas while watching a sports game on one of the televisions. “It’s more than just a delivery pizza place,” Ramein said. Mountain Mike’s Pizza will also features games, plus beer and wine.
The menu includes pizzas, wings, oven-baked sandwiches, and salads. The Mountain Mike’s Pizza on Blue Mound Rd. will also feature a small buffet during the week with a salad bar.
Ramein plans to open 3-5 other Mountain Mike’s Pizza locations in the DFW area with at least one possibly set for Mansfield. There’s no word on when those locations might open.
“We like the concept. We like the leadership, so we are excited about it,” Ramein said. Mountain Mike’s Pizza is new to DFW with one location currently open in Lewisville, and another planned for North Fort Worth, both through other franchisees. The family-friendly pizza brand has been in business more than 40 years and has over 250 restaurants in multiple states including Oregon, Arizona, and Utah.
