Lewisville is set to welcome its first BoomerJack’s, a popular sports bar chain native to the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. According to a recent state project filing, the chain has plans to open its 18th restaurant at 2437 S Stemmons Fwy. The location was previously home to Romano’s Macaroni Grill which closed its doors sometime in 2020.

Per the project filing, the restaurant building will be a “new construction” of 7,400 square feet. With an estimated cost of $450,000, work is expected to begin towards the end of January and be completed by September.

Founded in 2001, there are now 17 BoomerJack’s locations across the DFW metroplex in Bedford, Dallas, Denton, Fairview, Fort Worth, Grapevine, Lake Worth, Mesquite, Murphy, Arlington, Plano and Terrell. The chain is a concept from rapidly expanding DFW-based restaurant group, On Deck Concepts. The group, founded by North Texas restaurateur Brent Tipps, is also behind social lounge Sidecar Social and live music venue, Bedford Ice House.

BoomerJack’s is actively involved in the community through its support of local food banks, the Texas Rangers Foundation, Back the Blue, GRACE, 6 Stones, and the Joan Katz Breast Center.

Billed as “your come-as-you-are neighborhood sports bar,” guests can enjoy wall-to-wall TVs for big games, classic American fare, cold drinks and wallet-friendly pricing in a friendly, easy-going atmosphere. Menu items include a variety of starters like Southwest eggrolls, smoked brisket quesadillas and boomer chips – fried jalapeño slices served with ranch; as well as wings, hand-crafted burgers, scratch made entrees, soups, salads and wraps.

Drinks – there’s an all-day, every-day happy hour – include boozy “boomerade” lemonades, specialty cocktails, beer, seltzer and ciders, and wine.

Several BoomerJack’s locations feature expansive outdoor spaces with cool features like cooling misters and fire pits. No word yet on if the forthcoming Lewisville location will include a patio.
