Black Rock Coffee Bar, founded in Oregon and known for its roasted coffees, teas, smoothies and flavorful Fuel Energy drinks, has announced the grand opening of its inaugural store in McKinney, Texas. Located just north of Dallas, McKinney is Black Rock’s seventh store to open in the Dallas/Fort Worth metro area and the 29th store to open in the Lone Star state.

Located at 5101 McKinney Ranch Parkway, the new Black Rock Store opened its doors on Friday, October 27, 2023. To celebrate the grand opening, the boutique coffee chain will offer all customers $2.00 medium drinks all day at this location as well as other specials throughout the following week.

“McKinney’s vibrant sense of community and family-friendly atmosphere make it an ideal match for us,” said Mark Davis, Chief Executive Officer, Black Rock Coffee Bar in a statement. “We extend a warm invitation to the locals to meet our talented baristas and savor our exceptional range of premium coffees and delicious energy drinks.”

The new 2000-square-foot Black Rock Coffee Bar store incorporates Black Rock’s signature industrial modern design and features a large Texas-themed mural that is designed to connect to the region.

Black Rock Coffee Bar, which is guided by three principles – coffee, community and connection, has more than 115 stores in the U.S. Its mission is to be a positive force in the communities it serves.

Founded in 2008 in Portland, Oregon, Black Rock Coffee Bar continues its rapid expansion in the West and into the Sunbelt with locations in Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Oregon, Texas and Washington.
