JJ’s Corner Lounge, a bar spot in South Dallas that has been around for years, has plans to open a second location on S Cooper St. It will be a part of Cooper Street Market – a 75,000-square foot four-building retail development that is home to restaurant, retail, and medical offices.
Per lease intel, it will occupy suite 165B. The 6,065-square foot space includes a patio and was previously home to Rio Mambo Restaurant. Current tenants of the Market include Candy Shack Daiquiris, Popcorn Stop, and Southern Eats.
What Now Dallas reached out to the owner for further comment and while he did confirm the forthcoming second location, declined to give an opening date or any further details.
“I don’t really want to talk about [the restaurant] since it’s not ready,” he said. “Because it’s a new construction, I can’t directly say what the opening will be. I’m unsure about challenges that I don’t control.”
JJ’s Corner Lounge currently operates a location at 4515 Matlock Rd in Matlock Park Place. It offers dine in and take out and features outdoor seating. The menu includes beef patties, jerk and curry chicken, salmon, and oxtails.
