Construction could kick off on the 2,800-square-foot space later this summer and wrap up in late 2023. There’s no official word on when the Frisco Mo’ Bettahs might begin serving diners.

The menu features three plate sizes from mini to Ekolu, which means “Da Big Boy.” Several protein options are offered including teriyaki chicken, teriyaki steak, shrimp tempura, and Kalua Pig. The plates are served with white or brown rice and macaroni salad. Green salad with or without meat is also available.

Brothers Kimo and Kalani Mack founded Mo’ Bettahs in Utah 15 years ago. They wanted to “transport guests to an authentic Hawaiian island experience, like they had where they grew up in Oahu, Hawaii,” as stated on the brand’s website.

They later partnered with Savory Restaurant fund to expand the restaurant concept into other markets. Mo’ Bettahs has three North Texas locations in operation—Mansfield, North Dallas, and Plano—with a spot in Sachse “coming soon,” per the website.
