Mo’ Bettahs was founded in Utah back in 2008 by brothers Kimo and Kalani Mack. “The Mo’ Bettahs menu reflects our favorite Hawaiian staples. We keep it true to the Hawai’i we know and love. It is our hope that with each visit you will feel your love grow for your family and friends as you share experiences in our ‘backyard,’” stated the company’s website.

This Hawaiian-style eatery offers three plate sizes from mini to Ekolu, which means “Da Big Boy” and includes three meat choices. You can choose from a variety of proteins including teriyaki chicken, teriyaki steak, shrimp tempura, Kalua Pig, and others. The plates are served with white or brown rice and macaroni salad. Green salad with or without meat is also available.

Since partnering with Savory Restaurant Fund, Mo’ Bettahs has grown to more than three dozen locations across several states. According to the Mo’ Bettahs website, there are currently three Texas locations for the brand—Mansfield, North Dallas, and Plano. The project filing states that renovation work on the nearly 2,500-square-foot space in Sachse could begin next May.
