Carrollton Hails New Hall’s Honey Fried Chicken

For the Halls, honey fried chicken is a family tradition. What started in 1948 as Henderson’s Chicken Shack has now been passed down four generations into the hands of owners, John Hall, his daughter, Mackenzie Hall, and his son, Jacoby Hall. Today, they own Hall’s Honey Fried Chicken.

John Hall told What Now Dallas that the newest Hall’s Honey Fried Chicken location is set to open this fall at 1800 N Interstate 35E, in Carrollton, Texas. This will be the restaurant’s third location, serving the family’s “original recipe.”

“We’re excited to bring the best fried chicken in Texas to Carrollton,” John Hall told What Now Dallas. “We are using the same secret recipe today that my grandfather created in 1948.”

The menu features a robust selection of chicken, including light or dark meat or tenders or “crispettes.” The restaurant’s only non-chicken offering is called the “Old School Classic” which includes BBQ-covered hot links, fries, pickles, a pepper and two slices of bread.
