Burleson Diners to Gain Pei Wei Asian Kitchen Option

It looks like a new Pei Wei Asian Kitchen could now open in Burleson in the spring of 2024. That’s according to a recent project filing that states construction on the new location could kick off in early fall and wrap up in late March next year. The new Pei Wei, per Explore Burleson, is part of the Essential Burleson development on John Jones Dr. near Greenridge Dr.

Pei Wei’s menu offers authentic, Asian-inspired cuisine featuring fresh, house-chopped vegetables and whole cuts of white-meat chicken and flank steak. According to the brand’s website, “food is made to order by expert chefs who prioritize meeting each customer’s dietary needs and flavor preferences. Pei Wei is committed to upholding high-quality standards that set it apart from the competition.”

Some menu favorites include Firecracker Chicken—lightly battered chicken tossed in sweet and spicy Firecracker sauce—Mongolian Steak, Spicy Drunken Noodles, and Kung Pao Shrimp. Other options include Salad Bowls and Shareables of Signature Chicken Lettuce Wraps, Chicken Dumplings, Edamame, and Crab Wontons.

Pei Wei first opened its doors in Scottsdale, AZ in 2000, and the brand is now the second largest Chinese fast-casual restaurant chain in the U.S. with about 200 locations across the country. The newest addition to the brand will be located at 265 NW John Jones Dr., Ste. 109 in Burleson.
