So, if you’re looking for a cool, highly tasty way to celebrate St. Paddy’s Day this year than look no further. Velvet Taco’s The Rueben is it. Made with grilled corned beef, Swiss cheese, velvet sauce, house-made sauerkraut, and house-brined pickles on a flour tortilla, this themed WTF represents the staple corned beef Irish dish served worldwide during the holiday.

What’s more? You can keep the lucky vibes going with one of Velvet Taco’s boozy libations. There’s the:

  • Kick Ass Margarita – Lunazul premium blanco tequila, orange liqueur, fresh lime juice, and agave nectar (rocks or frozen)
  • Ranch Water – Lunazul premium blanco tequila, lime juice, agave nectar, and lime
  • Paloma – Lunazul premium blanco tequila, Jarritos grapefruit soda, lime juice, agave nectar, and grapefruit

All Velvet Taco locations across the nation (except Velvet Taco food hall locations) will have The Rueben available from March 16 – March 22. Locations in the DFW area can be found in:

  • Dallas – 15104 Dallas Pkwy; 11700 Preston Rd; 4622 Greenville Ave; 3411 McKinney Ave; 3012 N Henderson Ave
  • Fort Worth – 2700 W 7th St
  • Plano – 7800 Windrose Ave in Legacy Hall; 5013 W Park Blvd
  • Richardson – 102 W Campbell Rd

Founded in 2011, the first funky taco spot opened in Dallas’s Knox-Henderson and the brand has since grown to 30 locations with more in the works. Most of those locations are in Texas, but there are also restaurants in Georgia, Illinois, North Carolina, Oklahoma and Tennessee.

The brand has two new Velvet Taco locations in the works for North Texas. One is coming to Grandscape in The Colony at 5350 Nebraska Furniture Mart Dr. The other will open in Grapevine at 440 W State Hwy 114. Exact opening dates have not yet been announced, but both locations are expected to open later this year.
