Billie Allen, manager of Sushi Masa’s College Station location, says the Japanese restaurant’s all-you-can-eat feature is what truly sets it apart. Not to be confused with a buffet-style restaurant, customers can pay one set price for lunch or dinner and order unlimited appetizers, sushi rolls, and entrees to their table. There is also an extensive à la carte menu.
“As far as I know, this is the first in the area that offers all-you-can-eat sushi,” Allen shared to What Now Dallas. “It includes free refills on drinks, and as many delicious dishes as a person would like.”
Though rarely used, the restaurant does employ an à la carte charge for excessive waste or leftovers.
“The purpose of the all-you-can-eat option is so customers can continue to eat until they are satisfied, trying as many options as possible along the way,” Allen explained. “It is not, however, to order every item on the menu, to take one bite of each platter.” For this reason, customers often choose to order varying dishes and share, allowing them to try a wider variety of the restaurant’s handmade nigiri, sashimi, and more.
Housed in what was previously The Keg Steakhouse and Bar, this location will be Sushi Masa’s seventh location with two in Louisiana, two in Florida, and two already in Texas. Explore the menu and locations at sushimasaus.com.
