A restaurant and bar concept that focuses on the love of burgers, beer, and bourbon is opening in Grapevine. Bohemian Bull is set to open at 1112 W. Northwest Hwy., which is the former space of Bo Bo China.
“Grapevine was really our first choice for location. We live not far from there, plus we’re just big fans of Grapevine, the festivals, all the activities they have there,” said Bohemian Bull of Grapevine owner Dennis Johnson. Johnson’s wife, Sonja, is co-owner of the restaurant. “We’re ecstatic about being in Grapevine.”
Bohemian Bull is based out of South Carolina, and the Grapevine location will be the first for the brand in Texas. “We’re hoping for more, but we’ll get started with one. I think people will really like it,” Johnson told What Now Dallas.
They are currently remodeling the space to open some walls to add a patio on the west side of the property. They will also renovate the interior. “I think our guests will truly enjoy sitting on the patio when the weather is appropriate, and I think we’re a great location for that,” he said. “We do have ample parking, which is somewhat of a premium in Grapevine.”
They hope to open Bohemian Bull in early 2023. “I think the food is something that people will really enjoy. It doesn’t do it justice to say we have craft burgers. They are the most outstanding burgers.”
The menu features a variety of signature and build-your-own burgers, which are ground in-house, fresh salads, and a variety of pub-style dishes. Entrees include fish and chips, a shrimp platter, and salmon, plus sandwiches and wraps.
Bohemian Bull will feature about 24 local brews and signature cocktails. “We will also have a selection of bourbons, a lot of local bourbons from the distilleries in the area. Of course, we’ll carry national brands, as well, but our focus is really going to be on doing things locally using local services and local providers,” Johnson explained. Bohemian Bull will feature limited entertainment with musicians, mostly on weekends, and other special activities during the week.
