Irving Planned Home of New Fogo de Chao

An internationally-renowned Brazilian restaurant that has been delighting guests with a cultural dining experience since 1979 is planning to open in Irving. Fogo de Chão “elevates the centuries-old cooking technique of churrasco—the art of roasting high-quality cuts of meat over an open flame,” according to the brand’s website.

A variety of meats from filet mignon and ribeye to lamb chops and chicken are offered, as well as seafood. Guests can also enjoy the Market Table and Feijoada Bar, which includes, soups, salads, vegetables, charcuterie, and more. Lunch, dinner, to-go, and weekend brunch options are available.

Texans can currently enjoy the Fogo menu at eight locations across Texas, including three in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex—Addison, Uptown Dallas, and Plano. The latest addition to the brand will be located at the corner of Ranch Trail and Interstate-635 in Irving, according to a recent project filing.

The full-service restaurant will be located in new, ground-up construction of a nearly 8,500-square-foot space. It could open to the public sometime in the fall of 2023, stated the filing.
