Coming to 1801 N Hardin Blvd, Naf Naf Grill will occupy a space of 2,313 square feet in suite 200. The incoming restaurant is joining a busy area filled with eateries that feature international cuisine including la Madeleine, Gloria’s, and Spoon + Fork Thai Kitchen.

Founded in 2009 by Sahar Sander, the first Naf Naf Grill (which means to ‘fan the flame’ in Arabic) opened in Naperville, Illinois. Today, the brand is headquartered in Chicago with 28 locations across Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Wisconsin. Besides Texas, the brand is also expanding to Atlanta, Georgia, and Charlotte, North Carolina.

The menu offers fresh Middle Eastern cuisine with staples such as chicken shawarma, falafel, and fresh baked pita.

Guests can build their own pita or bowl with rice, couscous or hummus; add a protein such as chicken shawarma, steak or falafel; and then top it off with chopped salad, purple cabbage or Middle Eastern pickles. Of course, there are sauce options – smooth and nutty Tahini, freshly made S’khug, and fiery Harissa.

A total of ten new locations (Frisco and McKinney included) are being planned for the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. Earlier this year, operating partner Aamir Rajan of Dallas-based franchisee INAA Restaurant Group, confirmed to What Now Dallas that Naf Naf Grill’s first Texas restaurant will be in Frisco at 1525 US Hwy 380. It is expected to open in June or July 2022.

Exact locations have not yet been confirmed, but Plano, Las Colinas and Southlake are also set to receive a Naf Naf Grill within the next five years.
