Hoppin’ Brands’ franchisee, Michael Brittner, and the company’s spokesperson, Scotty Kent, took time to tell What Now Dallas about the great beer and good vibes headed to Fort Worth this summer. The growing group of self-serve taprooms is adding a location at 2608 Weisenberger St with the goal of opening by late summer, or early fall at the latest — an ideal time to launch the indoor-outdoor venue, as temperatures become more favorable to outdoor fun.
Hoppin’ is among the first of its kind — a self-serve taproom that enables guests to try a vast variety of brews by the pint. This location will feature three tap walls — two indoor, and one out — with 58 taps, total. When customers select a beer, a screen will populate in depth information that a bartender would be hard-pressed to retain. This is one of the many features that owners and guests alike believe differentiates Hoppin’ from the typical brewery scene.
“You can really create your own experience,” said franchisee, Michael Brittner, who along with his wife, Holly fell in love with the brand as regulars at the Charlotte, North Carolina location. “It’s a frictionless experience that allows you to spend more time with the people you’re there with.”
Even with the incredibly rare take on a taproom, both Brittner and Kent emphasized “the vibes” as one of the most unique elements.
“When I first experienced Hoppin’, I knew it was very different,” Kent told What Now Dallas. “It has a vibe-centric, atmosphere oriented, minimalist almost mid-century modern feel to it. It’s a departure from the typical brewery that offers an atmosphere for people that like to try craft beer, but want something different than the atmosphere that usually comes with it.” And just like that, the brand’s tagline makes perfect sense: “Good Vibes Only.” Find out in person this summer, or check it out sooner on Instagram.
