With one location in Plano at The Boardwalk at Granite Park, the scratch kitchen and craft bar concept will open its second location at 7540 SH 121, building #3. It is expected to be ready in July.

“Fork II is officially in the works,” the restaurant posted last week to social media. “We could not be more grateful for this journey— from your support, your patronage and love we are blessed to be given this opportunity to serve you in another North Texas Community. Coming in July 2022. Stay tuned for the details soon!”

Fork & Fire will have plenty of restaurant neighbors including Valerie’s Taco Shop, ChopShop Sports Garage, Wine A Little and The Elwood.

“We were looking at non-chain, different restaurants that were maybe a little more chef-driven or a little more interesting rather than going down Custer and seeing that same restaurant a couple miles down that direction,” developer Shane Jordan said about those coming to Hub 121.

Created by Jason Graman, Fork & Fire was originally named B. Frank & Relish. It got its name change in 2019. “Fork & Fire better reflects our use of the wood-fired grill and draws people in,” Graman said. “Now more people stop and read our diverse menu and come in to enjoy the enhanced flavors of food made from scratch cooked on our wood burning grill.”

Indeed, the restaurant does place a lot of attention on its wood-fired grill, where chefs take a “minimalist approach to cooking with a focus on the balance of flavors.” There’s flatbreads, salads, burgers and sandwiches. But the menu really shines with its signature plates that include hanger steak, Akaushi filet, and Faroe Islands salmon.

Brunch is served on Saturdays and Sundays until 4 PM and includes a variety of frittatas, pancakes, and chicken and waffles with bacon. Plates include hanger steak and eggs, hangover burger, and steak and egg tacos.

Drink-wise, there’s wine, beer and sake on tap, as well as a selection of handcrafted cocktails. Of note is the Tequila-tini, the restaurant’s twist on a margarita with hand-squeezed orange, lime and a splash of agave.

Fork & Fire is currently open in Plano at 5880 TX-121, suite 103-B.

Located near the northwest corner of Alma Rd and SH 121, Hub 121 is a 85,000-square-foot mixed-use development that features a coworking space, a music pavilion, The Axiom apartment complex and more.
