A new concept is under construction at the mixed-use development, Hub 121, in McKinney. Depending on construction and supply chain issues, Black Rabbit Social could open to the public sometime in early 2023.
“We’re going to be a place for people to socialize. That’s really our aim,” said Billy J. Lynch, Black Rabbit Social owner. The space at TX-121 and Alma Dr. will feature a rooftop bar, an open interior floor plan, and a patio. “There’s a little creek that runs through there, and it’s going to be a real nice view for the patio,” Lynch told What Now Dallas. The space will also feature four 15-foot glass garage doors to welcome the view.
The new restaurant concept will be near Craig Ranch. “There’s a ton of development,” Lynch said. “I’m excited about the area. I think it’s been a long time coming.” Other restaurants and bars are being planned for Hub 121, as well. “I think it will be great mix.”
The Black Rabbit Social menu will feature classic bar food. “It’s going to be anywhere from Sicilian-style pizzas to gourmet hamburgers, some options for the health-conscious like salads and things of that nature,” Lynch said. “Our main goal is to bring people together to socialize, so we’ll be doing a happy hour, we’ll do a brunch, and then we’ll have something for late night.”
Lynch hopes to host events for people wanting to grab a bite after work, events for singles, and bachelorette and wedding parties.
Black Rabbit Social will have deejayed music or live music. “We’ll definitely always have noticeable music in the background. I’m shooting for some of the entertainment you see in Scottsdale,” Lynch explained. “Just a very lively atmosphere. Just a place where I can see people getting up and going to introduce themselves to someone across the room.”
Updated name from Billy Lynch to Billy J. Lynch.
