A restaurant that specializes in Mexico-style, wood-fired rotisserie chickens is expanding with a second location.

Coming to 4920 S Cooper St in Arlington, Chicken Pullita is taking over a former Taco Bueno building. Call it déjà vu. The brand’s first restaurant in Irving at 904 W Airport Fwy also belonged to a Taco Bueno before it was remodeled and reopened as Chicken Pullita.

Guests can order half or whole rotisserie chickens that are cooked over natural pecan wood and served with rice, charro beans, salsa, grilled onions and tortillas. Burritos, flautas, quesadillas and other Mexican favorites are also on the menu.

In 2021, when the Irving location opened, Jose Rodriguez, an administrator for the restaurant told The Dallas Morning News that they take their cue from restaurants in Mexico known for juicy rotisserie chickens.

In speaking with What Now Dallas, Rodriguez said construction just started on the forthcoming Arlington location so it will be a “couple months” before it opens. They are looking at a June 1 launch date.

Chicken Pullita is also behind Pollos La Pullita, a similar concept that has locations in Arlington, Fort Worth, and Garland.
