The Springs Wedding & Event Venues is opening a showroom and commercial catering kitchen to service its venues across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Owner Nathan Larry Kruzie told What Now Dallas they opened a similar concept in Houston last month, and Springs Events Services in Euless could open sometime next spring.
Kruzie said the 2,000-square-foot kitchen must undergo about $800,000 in renovations to include new underground plumbing, a grease trap, and new tile. The rest of the space at 2750 W Euless Blvd. will be used as a showroom that will also serve as a tasting room for catering options.
Displays for various wedding necessities such as linens, plates, and floral decorations will be placed in the showroom. Other services such as photography and entertainment will also be available at Springs Events Services in Euless.
“We used to be a do-it-yourself wedding venue, and now we’re going deeper into the wedding business,” Kruzie said. They’ll have packages available, but clients will still have the DIY option.
Kruzie first opened The Springs in 2001, and the brand now operates 23 venues across Texas and Oklahoma. “This kitchen is centrally located for the DFW market,” Kruzie said. The addition of the commercial kitchen in Euless will allow them to provide catering for their local venues.
Kruzie has partnered with Five Oaks Catering’s Steve Swindell, who will serve as head chef and restaurant manager for the catering side at Springs Events Services. Kruzie said they are still working on the menu but plan to provide several food style choices.
