The Pub McDonough is owned by Kevin and Mary McDonough. According to the The Pub McDonough website, “Our pub will be the perfect place to gather with friends, enjoy live music performances, and cheer on your favorite sports teams. Whether you’re seeking a cozy corner to unwind after a long day or a vibrant social space to celebrate special occasions, The Pub McDonough will be your go-to destination.”

Construction on the pub is well underway, according to Facebook posts. The Pub McDonough is coming soon to 529 North Houston in Granbury, but there is no official word on when the grand opening will be held.

According to the business’ website, the interior will include cozy seating areas, a bar, and touches “that make an Irish pub so inviting.” The website goes on to say they are “carefully curating every aspect, from the decor inspired by Irish heritage to the selection of beverages and delectable dishes that will tantalize your taste buds.”

The pub has been involved with local events leading up to its opening, so community members can “experience a little bit of Ireland in Texas,” per the website. The pub is expected to offer attendees a tasting and an Irish dish at one event in late September—the WWC Taste of Granbury 4th Annual Whiskey and Wine.
