The new restaurant will be opening in a neighborhood that is home to several other nationally-known fast food chains such as Taco Bell, McDonald’s, Burger King and Chicken Express.

According to a state project filing, construction on the 1,384-square-foot building will be started in January and be completed by the end of April 2022. With an estimated cost of $190,000, the take-out restaurant will be operated by Fort Worth resident Kishor Nuepane.

Back in May, the New England-based wing brand signed an agreement to bring five locations to the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. The forthcoming Fort Worth restaurant will be the first location from the deal to open. There is currently only one Wing It On! restaurant in Texas near Houston in Spring.

What Now Dallas has reached out for more details on the forthcoming Fort Worth location, as well as the others that were signed.

“Texas is prime for growth right now, and we want to take advantage of all the great opportunities in the state right now,” Matt Ensero, CEO and founder of Wing It On!, said at the time of the signing. “This new deal allows us to grow our presence in another key area of the state. I look forward to creating even more wing nuts in Texas.”

The brand also has locations in Alabama, Connecticut, Georgia, New Jersey, New York and North Carolina.

Founded by Ensero in 2011, Wing It On! is out to “resurrect the buffalo wing from the ashes of mediocrity.” The menu features wings, boneless tenders and “nuggz” with a variety of signature sauce options from honey mustard and Asian garlic to Nashville hot and mango habanero. Dry rubs include garlic parmesan, lemon pepper and buffalo. Crispy chicken sandwiches, seasoned fries, slaw and street corn are also on the menu.
