An elevated, Asian-inspired steakhouse is opening in Dallas in late summer of 2023. Nuri Steakhouse, created by restaurant veteran and Dallas resident Wan Kim, will be located in Dallas’ Uptown neighborhood at 2401 Cedar Springs Rd., Ste. 120.
Nuri Steakhouse will serve dinner, drinks, and weekend brunch in a modern atmosphere. The menu, crafted by Michelin Guide-acknowledged Korean Chef Minji Kim, will use only the finest choice of prime cuts of meat, seafood, and poultry partnered with uniquely crafted starters and accompaniments. A robust wine and cocktail program will also be featured at Nuri Steakhouse.
Diners at Nuri Grill in Dallas can give feedback on menu items that could be featured in the new Nuri Steakhouse menu. Nuri Grill has been running as a test kitchen for the new concept, and before the steakhouse opens, it will morph into a different concept. “Nuri Steakhouse will be taking it to the next level in design, atmosphere, experiential dining and menu offerings,” Wan Kim said in a press release.
“We strategically secured a short-term lease for Nuri Grill in the heart of Koreatown where we were able to provide an upscale Korean dining experience not typically found in the metroplex. It was always our intent to operate this as a full-service restaurant to painstakingly test recipes for the steakhouse,” Wan Kim continued.
Wan Kim, originally from Korea and the CEO of Smoothie King, has had a lifelong passion for food which led him to create Nuri Grill and now, Nuri Steakhouse. “Our mission is to inspire people to embrace different cultures of the world. This steakhouse project has been a passion of mine for many years. I am thrilled to see it finally coming to life and look forward to bringing it to Dallas diners next summer.”
The new 9,500-square-foot space will offer guests a feeling of warmth and elegance with indoor seating for 150 and outdoor seating for 50. Designed by AvroKO’s San Francisco studio, the steakhouse design features an inviting main dining room and lounge area along with a large curved bar with an impressive wine cellar encasing the space. A private dining room will also provide a more intimate setting for guests.
