The couple currently owns and operates two Nothing Bundt Cakes locations–one that opened in Irving in 2018 and a second in Hurst, which opened in 2020. “After Alliance opens, we will be focused on opening a fourth bakery in Elizabethtown,” Shaun told What Now Dallas.

Their new Nothing Bundt Cakes location is set to open at 3251 Tracewood Way, Ste. 111, Fort Worth, TX 76177, according to a recent project filing. The filing states the 1,900-square-foot space will undergo a first generation tenant finish out for the cake bakery. Construction could wrap up sometime this fall.

Shaun said they decided to open in the North Fort Worth Alliance area because of the population’s rapid growth. “Our passion is to bring joy to this community and each one of our guests, and we are committed to being a huge part of the community by building strong connections.”

Nothing Bundt Cakes offers flavorful Bundt cakes topped with the brand’s signature cream cheese frosting. Shaun said that 90-percent of guests purchase Nothing Bundt Cakes for a special occasion–birthdays, weddings, teachers’ gifts, holidays, etc. “You can celebrate life’s special moments with hand-decorated cakes for any occasion,” Shaun said. “Each recipe only uses the purest ingredients, and we offer a variety of different flavors and sizes.”

Flavors include red velvet, chocolate chocolate chip, confetti, carrot, lemon, and others in 8-inch or 10-inch sizes and tiered cakes. Bundtlets, which are individually packaged personal cakes, plus Bundtinis, which are smaller cakes that can be purchased by the dozen, are also offered for those wanting a sweet treat.

“We are a one-stop-shop for gifting and offer all sorts of retail, candles, and greeting cards to elevate celebrations. Nothing Bundt Cakes is truly so much more than just ‘cake;’ it’s joy, it’s sharing, it’s community, it’s happiness, and it’s putting a smile on someone’s face,” Shaun said in the email to What Now Dallas.

Dena Tripp and Debbie Shwetz first began baking Bundt cakes in their Las Vegas home kitchens in 1997 and founded the brand, which now has more than 400 locations across the U.S. and Canada, according to the Nothing Bundt Cakes website.

The Smiths are excited to open the new location in Fort Worth and establish meaningful connections with guests. “We hope to positively impact the community and bring joy to all who taste our cake!” Shaun shared.
