Crown Block is said to capture the ambitious and adventurous spirit of the Texas frontier in the upper sphere of Reunion Tower. “Born from the time-honored traditions of yesteryear, dine on another level with breathtaking views of the city. Here the beef is sacred, the seafood is delightful, the charm is old fashioned, and cocktails are held to the highest moral principle,” stated the Crown Block website.

The highly-anticipated new restaurant will open in partnership with celebrated James Beard Award nominees, husband-wife business partners Elizabeth Blau and Chef Kim Canteenwalla. The duo brings over three decades of global, guest-driven success and experiences in such places as Las Vegas and Vancouver.

“Kim and I discovered our love of Dallas and instantly felt welcome with the world-famous Texas hospitality.” Blau said in a press release. “We are excited to bring our longstanding philosophy drawing from the culture, landscape, and culinary traditions of the region to partner with the Hunt family on this exciting new endeavor for the city.”

Crown Block will offer a dining experience to surpass that of the typical steakhouse, complemented by an approachable, stylish environment in celebration of all things grilled, seared, and roasted. The menu will feature steak, seafood, and plant-based cuisine developed with ingredients from regional farms, ranches, and the Gulf of Mexico.

Its RareSteak program will embrace a range of offerings that includes Prime Beef, Texas Wagyu, and Japanese A5 Wagyu. Crown Block will also feature a sushi and chilled seafood display, as well as a dessert bar with pastry chefs in action. Crown Block’s beverage program features a substantial wine list and cocktail program.

In addition to the restaurant, Crown Block will offer a unique event space located on the 17th floor of Reunion Tower with a striking view of the Dallas skyline.
