The tap house will offer a tap wall of self-serve stations that patrons can purchase by the ounce. Barton told What Now Dallas that though the location will have TVs, his ultimate goal is to foster connection.

“I want it to be a place where people can hang out and reconnect with each other,” Barton said. He also explained the motivation for his tentative May open.

“We really want to have the doors open in time to celebrate Audie Murphy Day,” he said. Every June, Farmersville celebrates Audie Murphy Day, honoring the American actor, and songwriter and most highly decorated soldier in U.S. history. The day originated as a warm hometown welcome for the soldier, and continues today to honor all members of the U.S. Armed Forces, past and present.

While Tap That hopes to be open in time to welcome visitors during the celebration, Barton says he looks forward to offering a laid back spot for locals and visitors alike to enjoy good beer, in good company.
