A new restaurant concept with a focus on steak frites will open in Dallas in early 2023. STEAKYARD, a concept being developed by Delucca Gaucho Pizza and Wine CEO Evandro Caregnato, will be located at 6726 Shady Brook Ln., Dallas, TX 75080.
As CEO of STEAKYARD, Caregnato wants to offer Dallas diners an experience. The restaurant’s handcrafted dishes will be prepared in a theatrical open, wood-fired kitchen. The menu will feature up to five cuts of USDA Prime beef, aged 30 days or longer, as well as chicken, rack of lamb, and salmon.
“People can see the fire. And, the main dish, what we want to do, is steak frites. That with a beautiful peppercorn sauce,” Caregnato shared. “That will be the main attraction of the place. A great steak with a reasonable price and a very, very nice ambiance.”
A small selection of handcrafted pastas made in house and vegetarian dishes will also be offered. Guests can enjoy wine or cocktails during their dining experience, which will also include impeccable service.
Caregnato told What Now Dallas the planned STEAKYARD space on Shady Brook Ln. has a beautiful patio. “We think we’re going to do something very nice and open up the patio as a place where we can have brunches and events outside.”
Caregnato learned the art of Gaucho grilling at an early age from his father and grandfather in South Brazil. He moved to Dallas in 1998 to open a Brazilian Steakhouse and launched Delucca, which serves pizzas Gaucho style, in 2018. Delucca has several locations across North Texas with one planned to open in Austin in the next two weeks.
“My whole life I’ve been working around steaks and open fire, and I really wanted to do something like that,” Caregnato said. The STEAKYARD concept was born to share his passion for steaks and wood-fired cooking.
