The new restaurant will be at 2021 McKinney Avenue, a part of McKinney and Olive – a uniquely designed building that offers premier office space and exclusive restaurants and retail in Uptown Dallas. Per a project filing, renovation work on the forthcoming restaurant’s space will start at the beginning of the new year and be completed by the end of July.

With an estimated construction cost of $2,500,000 attached to it, the restaurant will occupy both ground floor and second floor level space and include seated serving areas.

Mexican Sugar currently has two locations at 7501 Lone Star Dr in Plano and 3215 Regent Blvd in Las Colinas, Irving.

A part of FB Society (formerly Front Burner Restaurants), the Pan-Latin restaurant focuses on using local ingredients, traditional cooking techniques and a live wood-grill to create a fresh, made from scratch culinary experience. Hand crafted specialty cocktails are made with quality tequila from an expansive “tequila library”. According to its website, Mexican Sugar is the first cocktail-on-tap bar in Texas and offers 130 tequilas to choose from.

Dishes include adobo steak, grilled gulf shrimp fajitas, brisket tacos, lump crab enchiladas and more. Brunch is also served on Saturdays and Sundays, featuring a variety of mouthwatering cocktails, breakfast tacos and quesadillas, and vanilla cinnamon pancakes.

FB Society is also behind such concepts as Whiskey Cake, The Ranch, Velvet Taco, Ida Claire, and Sixty Vines.
