Are you looking for a fun and “oinktastic” adventure for the little ones? Well, you won’t have to wait too long! Next year, a new Peppa Pig Theme Park is set to open in North Richland Hills.
Merlin Entertainments, a global leader in location-based entertainment, in partnership with Hasbro, a toy and game company, officially broke ground on the new theme park in North Richland Hills this week. It will be North America’s second location for a Peppa Pig Theme Park. The first opened in Florida in 2022. The new Peppa Pig Theme Park will be located near the NRH2O Family Water Park at 8851 26 Blvd. in North Richland Hills.
The theme park is designed for children through age six and will include multiple rides, interactive attractions, themed playscapes, and shows. A key attraction at the park will be Daddy Pig’s Roller Coaster, which is a family-friendly thrill ride that takes little ones on an adventure in Daddy Pig’s red car.
A public relations representative told What Now Dallas in an email that the menu at the new theme park is top secret for now, but food options will be available for the entire family to enjoy. More details about the park are expected to be released in a few months.
“When Peppa Pig Theme Park in North Richland Hills opens in 2024, Merlin Entertainments’ footprint in Texas will include five interactive and immersive attractions. Following the incredible success of our current properties in Texas and Peppa Pig Theme Park in Florida, along with the focus on family entertainment in North Richland Hills, it was an easy decision to build our next Peppa Pig Theme Park here,” said Jeremy Aguillen, General Manager of Peppa Pig Theme Park Dallas-Fort Worth, in a press release. “Both the City of North Richland Hills and Hasbro have been excellent partners in bringing this playful and popular early childhood brand to life.”
Peppa Pig is a British preschool animated television series that has been airing for almost 20 years. The series follows Peppa Pig, a cheeky little piggy who lives with her family—younger brother George, Mummy Pig, and Daddy Pig, as well as her diverse community of friends. Peppa Pig encourages kids to jump in together and explore the world around them, while giving kids the confidence to treat every first step as a new adventure.
