According to Cocktail Creamery’s website, husband-and-wife duo Ted and Sharyn Lindblad wanted to work together on a new venture. Sharyn suggested opening an ice cream shop and because Ted wanted the business to stand out from the crowd, he recommended infusing alcohol into the desserts. And, Cocktail Creamery was born.
The shop has about 100 flavors of artisanal ice cream and dairy-free sorbets. Each ice cream is made “from the richest 18% butterfat ice cream base,” and pure Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla is used to develop the flavor. Some Specialty ice cream flavors include Maple Bourbon Baconater, Futterbinger, and Jack-N-Coke. Although the menu features homemade ice cream infused with high-quality liqueurs and fruit wines, non-alcoholic options are available including chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla ice cream.
The new space has been under construction and will feature a dining area, ice cream counter, and several serving freezers on the main floor. A kitchen will be housed on the second floor “where the magic happens,” according to a Cocktail Creamery Facebook post. A CultureMap Dallas article reports that Cocktail Creamery hopes to begin serving customers from its new spot in mid- to late-summer.
