I Heart Mac & Cheese is opening a new location in North Texas. It will be in Highland Village at 2250 Justin Rd., located in suite 112. It is replacing the former Peter’s Pizzeria space in the Town Center. No word yet on an opening date.

I Heart Mac & Cheese encourages guests to “stay cheesy” with an extensive menu that allows them to build their own macaroni and cheese bowls and grilled cheeses. Bowls can be made from a variety of health-conscious bases such as quinoa, broccoli, cauliflower, and gluten-free pasta. Vegan cheese sauce, plant-based proteins and veggies are also available.

Some of the restaurant’s signature bowls are Classic Mac – of which a vegan option is also available; Short Rib Philly, Chicken Parmesan, and Lobster Mac and Cheese. Sides include mac bites, tater tots, tomato soup and cheesy broccoli.

The brand is rapidly expanding, having signed 12 franchise agreements in Q1 of this year. Right now, it has over 180 locations across the U.S. with current Texas locations being in Port Arthur, College Station, Deer Park, and Spring. The Spring location opened a few months ago at 26400 Kuykendahl Rd. in Creekside Park Village Green, The Woodlands.

“I Heart Mac & Cheese is a unique and attractive franchise concept that is really resonating with aspiring entrepreneurs – including those from many diverse backgrounds but in particular, hospitality industry professionals looking to create a fun, profitable post-pandemic career for themselves,” Stephen Giordanella, I Heart Mac & Cheese CEO and Chairman, said in a statement to QSR.

What Now DFW has reached out to company officials for more information on the new location.
