“As the first Yemeni Coffee Shop in Texas, it has been an extreme honor to share our culture with the DFW community,” Susan told What Now Dallas. “We are appreciative of and humbled by the support we have received in Richardson and are so excited to expand the concept to Frisco.

“Arwa Yemeni Coffee sources our beans directly from Yemen and roasts them in-house. We offer a wide range of coffees and teas, most of which are prepared in the methods and with the recipes seen in different regions of Yemen.”

According to the website, the name is based on Queen Arwa — the first hujjah queen in the muslim world. Queen Arwa was from Haraz, an area well-known for its high quality coffee beans. The strong female figure is also reflective of the shops majority female-ownership.

In addition to its authentic flavors, Arwa’s aesthetic is sure to transport guests. Intricate lighting, sleek seating, and a calming neutral color pallet bring a calming celebration of Yemen to Texas. Learn more at arwayemenicoffee.com
