The restaurant currently has a location in Los Angeles offering what the website calls “slow-cooked perfection” in the form of house-made broths and “ramen bliss”. Ramen Akira simmers their broths for 18 hours, creating unrivaled depth an richness of flavor.

The goal of the restaurant is to “offer an authentic experience of traditional Japanese Ramen, enriched with a subtle Italian influence.” Some of the unique dishes resulting from this approach include the Scallop Yuzu Ponzu Carpaccio with raw scallops and house yuzu ponzu reduction and the spicy tuna tartare served on crispy rice, for starters.

Main dish highlights include the Spicy Garlic Pork Shio Ramen, Karaage Curry Rice which includes Japanese-style fried chicken with ouse curry sauce.
