Franchisee Penny Mrva told What Now Dallas this will be her first franchise restaurant, and she is both excited and petrified about the experience. “This is new for me. I think it will do great,” Mrva said.

Mrva comes to Toastique from the financial sector. “I’ve been in the corporate world all my life, but I’ve always wanted to open my own business,” she explained. She started looking for a franchise opportunity and came across Toastique. “I fell in love with it.”

Mrva met with the Toastique executive team in D.C., toured several corporate locations, and learned more about the brand. “I knew that it was what I wanted to do.”

Toastique’s main menu focus is gourmet toast. One of Mrva’s daughters is a nutrition major in college, and her other daughter loves to cook. They would make gourmet toast and send photos of their creations to each other. “It was on a personal note, as well. I love that part of it, too.” The Toastique menu also features bowls, smoothies, and cold-pressed juices.

Toastique will be located at 5455 Belt Line Rd., Ste. 105 in Dallas. Mrva said she has not signed up to open other franchise locations at this point, but she would potentially like to open others in the future once the Dallas location is open and running successfully.

Toastique founder and CEO Brianna Keefe, a former James Madison University cheerleader, had always been passionate about healthy living and eating healthy options on the go. Keefe opened the first Toastique location at The Wharf in Washington, D.C. and has continued to expand the brand across other states.
