A new restaurant concept—Allegory Restaurant—will soon bring flavors from Celebrity Chef Carlos Brown to North Texas. Allegory, LLC President Ronnie Harris said Brown will develop the menu, which will feature American cuisine.
Brown, founder and CEO of C3 Culinary Group, is the owner of Shrimp & Grits Cafe in Charleston, South Carolina. Brown is also the creator of the Chef Carlos Brown Sauces & Vinaigrettes, and his culinary specialties have been enjoyed by such personalities as President Obama, Oprah Winfrey, Tyler Perry, and many more.
Harris told What Now Dallas that Allegory Restaurant will offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Plans are to have a full bar serving signature coffee drinks shifting to cocktails, beer, and a broad selection of wines in the evening.
Harris said Allegory Restaurant will have a lounge-like, comfortable atmosphere. “We’re going to offer late-night, live entertainment,” Harris explained. Guests could enjoy entertainment ranging from a deejay’s tunes to songs from a solo artist.
Harris hopes Allegory Restaurant will open sometime in the spring of 2023. It will be located in a 2,000-square-foot, standalone building at 2601 W. Jefferson St. in Grand Prairie.
“This will be our first location. I started this particular concept because the end-game is to get this concept into DFW Airport. I think it would be a great fit with the way the airport is going,” Harris said.
Harris is also CEO and Principal partner of RSHarris, LLC, which is currently a joint venture partner operating The NewStand travel essentials and Wired travel electronics at EWR, and travel essentials w/café, Travel+Leisure/Great American Bagel Bakery and iPorte travel electronics at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.
