From the owners of Burgers & Curries comes Desi Ice Cream. The new sweet and savory shop will be located at 5433 N MacArthur Blvd in Irving, Texas and hopes to open by the end of this year.
“We are trying to do something innovative,” owner Swapna Varala told What Now Dallas. “We hope we are successful in it and customers enjoy it. Our menu isn’t concrete, but it will feature ice cream of course, as well as other mostly savory items.”
The Varalas also operate Burgers & Curries. The Indian-American fusion launched in 2018 in Northlake Texas and has another location in the works for Allen. The owners will maintain their belief that “no dish can be better than its ingredients” across their new icecream concept as well.
Varala told What Now Dallas the new Desi Ice Cream building is “from scratch”, and they have yet to establish Desi’s social media platforms or website.
