“What started with a challenge to myself to make the best pizza you’d ever had, has turned into 14 locations in North Texas and growing. I always love a good challenge, and my aspirations for Zalat is my next big one,” Owner Khanh Nguyen recently shared across Zalat Pizza’s social media channels. Well, it looks like those aspirations are coming true.

Nguyen opened his first Zalat Pizza in 2015, and in the intervening years the pizzeria has experienced the kind of success that makes you want to pay attention. According to Zalat Pizza’s website, the pizzeria with 14 stores in the Dallas-area will soon open a new eatery at 11613 N Central Expressway in Suite 111.

With a menu that ranges from the standard peperoni to the Nashville hot chicken & pickles, the rapidly expanding pizzeria is certain to have something for every taste. But even with the standards covered, you can find a pizza pie a little off the beaten path. Zalat’s Pho Shizzle is a chicken pie with red bell peppers and caramelized onions that is doused in a hoisin and sriracha swirl and topped with a basil and cilantro garnish, while the Elote is topped with corn, lemon pepper reduction, parm, cilantro, and a Valentina swirl.

We were unable to reach Nguyen at the time of publication, so you’ll want to keep an eye on the pizzeria’s social media for updates on the newest location’s opening timeline. Once Zalat Pizza Central Forest opens, the self-proclaimed cheat meal for your week will find itself at home among other businesses like Gong Cha Dallas, Asian Mint, and Boston Market.
