Co-owners Alyssa Petrus and Christine Figley are currently building out the retail space for West Fork Garden Market at the site of West Fork Landscaping, which is owned by Figley.

“We’re actually about to start moving our inventory in. I think they are going to paint this week, so that’s very exciting for us,” Petrus said. “We’re also building out a courtyard patio that you will actually walk through to get to our front doors, which is going to be a really cool space, as well.”

Petrus told What Now Dallas that she and Figley felt like Fort Worth lacked a storefront that features unique, outdoor and indoor décor, so they decided to open West Fork Garden Market. It will offer upscale pots, high-end pieces to serve dinner on the patio, outdoor living items, linens, indoor entertaining pieces, and more.

“It’s going to be more unique items. We want people to come to us for the specialty items and be the stop for that,” Petrus explained. “We’re going to be a big stop for all things holiday. Come September, obviously we’ll roll out back to school, harvest, fall, Thanksgiving, then Christmas, Halloween, as well.”

West Fork Garden Market will offer door décor for holidays and special events and will create custom décor for various Fort Worth events such as Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo, and The Charles Schwab Challenge.

Customers can purchase custom décor for birthday parties and other special events. “We will offer to come decorate your door or your porch for your party,” Petrus said. West Fork Garden Market will also have a corner with local collegiate merchandise and custom items to represent school spirit.

“We’re trying to bring something unique to Fort Worth that isn’t here. We have some wonderful gift shops here,” Petrus said. “We don’t want to carry the same things as they do. We’re trying to bring some brands that we have seen in other states and other cities that we’ve traveled to that we really enjoyed and bring them to Fort Worth.”
