The company was founded by U.S. military veteran Denise Townsend, who found that sharing wine was a great way to connect with family and friends in an honest and authentic way, calling it the “honest cork moment,” according to the company’s website. The new space will provide event spaces to enjoy wine, spirits and food for a business meeting, party or celebration.
Honest Cork Wine is planned for a 3,482-square-foot restaurant space in Mesquite, according to permits filed with the state. The space is anticipated to include a bar and lounge.
The new restaurant begins construction in early December with a public opening projected in late March 2025, with an estimated cost of $700,000. Townsend was not immediately available for more information.
