The first is coming to The Colony’s Grandscape at 5754 Grandscape Blvd in suite 205. This location will feature a rooftop patio and was originally planned to open in late 2020, but CultureMap Dallas reports that it is now set for a March 2022 opening.

The second will open in Dallas’s Preston Hollow Village at 7859 Walnut Hill Ln in suite 140. According to a spokesperson for the brand, a late spring 2022 opening is being planned. The space was previously home to Matchbox, a pizza bistro that closed in mid-2020.

The two forthcoming restaurants will bring Thirsty Lion’s Texas count to four. The brand currently operates an Irving Music Factory location and a Euless Glade Parks location. It also has several locations in Arizona, Colorado and Oregon.

Founded in 2010 by John Plew, the popular upscale expanding concept specializes in scratch-made cuisine. Its signature menu focuses on local ingredients and bold flavors, while its “seasonal menus” feature unique ingredients based on the time of year. An extensive selection of craft cocktails, beers on tap, and wines by the glass are offered at the bar.

Thirsty Lion is owned by Concept Entertainment Group, a hospitality management company that moved its headquarters from Portland, Oregon to Scottsdale, Arizona earlier this year.
